Miniature Pinscher is a German dog breed older than 300 years, which was used as a companion dog and a vermin hunter at the farms and today it is used mostly as a companion dog, and despite it’s small size – a great watchdog. It is a gracefully built dog and it resembles a small version of Doberman Pinscher, but without the anatomical faults natural to miniature dog breeds and without known genetic diseases which are so common in some breeds.

According to the official standard, the height of the Miniature Pinscher is 25 to 30 cm and the weight is from 4 to 6 kg. There are two variants of color, two-colored lacquer black with red or brown markings and self colored – from deer red, reddish-brown to dark red brown. Average living age of the Miniature Pinscher is 15 to 18 years. One phrase that describes the Miniature Pinscher breed a lot is: „Big dogs in a small body“, our saying about the Pinschers would be: „Little dogs with a big attitude“.
